Pareto: Identify your buildings and prioritize your actions

Posted on April 19, 2023

We must transform the actions that were made this winter into regular actions and we must make this sobriety part of our customs .” The objective is set by the president of RTE, manager of the electricity transmission network in France. Because if the mobilization of businesses and communities this winter has already made it possible to reduce French energy consumption (electricity and gas) by 12% between October and December 2022 compared to 2019, these efforts must continue.

The issue? Build a consumption reduction action plan that is not only effective but sustainable. The Pareto by Sobre tool helps meet this need.

Pareto by Sobre: How does it work?

Moving from the macro vision to a focus on your priority buildings: this is what our SAAS Data-MARC software allows with our Pareto by Sobre tool.

It helps you identify at a glance the most energy-intensive sites based on their surface consumption, therefore the highest priority, to know where to act. Either according to their consumption in kWh, kWh/m² or by typology.

This Pareto tool thus highlights sites with major energy issues (consumption well above your reference consumption in OPERAT).

What advantages?

  • Identification of the most energy-intensive buildings: Pareto allows you to quickly visualize the buildings that contribute the most to the energy consumption of your park.
  • Prioritization of actions to be implemented: by focusing on the most energy-intensive buildings, it is possible to identify the most relevant actions to reduce your consumption
  • Cost reduction

For what purpose?

  • Energy audit : the priority sites identified by our Pareto tool will be the high-stakes sites on which you can focus to reduce your consumption? How ? thanks to our audits which offer you action scenarios based on ROI in kWh and euros.
  • DDADUE audit : the identified sites can be part of the sampling of buildings to be audited. As a reminder, the DDADUE audit is mandatory for companies with more than 250 employees and must cover 80% of your energy bill.

  • Energy sobriety plan: the sites identified can be part of the sampling of buildings on which to focus your sobriety actions. This is where you will have the quickest impact to optimize your energy consumption. As a reminder, the energy sobriety plan aims to reduce consumption by -10% over the next two years compared to 2019.
  • Tertiary Decree: the most energy-intensive sites will be those on which to focus your action plans in order to achieve your consumption reduction objectives by 2030. The Tertiary Eco Energy System (DEET) in fact provides for subject tertiary buildings to reduce their consumption by 40% by 2030, 50% by 2040 and 60% by 2050.
