In the fall of 2022, following government announcements and given the context, companies were invited to reduce their energy consumption by 10%. Sobre Energie has thus supported businesses and communities in the development of their energy sobriety plan. We can strongly believe that the year 2024 will not spare us either and it is therefore essential to be able to anticipate.
What is the energy sobriety plan?
There are 3 main reasons to take action now:
- To comply with regulations: climate and resilience law (2021), tertiary decree (2021), sobriety plan (2022), DDADUE law (2023), BACS decree (2025)
- To optimize your finances: control energy costs and urgent consumption in the face of soaring supplier bills
- CSR policy: reduce your carbon footprint, your GHGs, initiate a CSR approach
The national mobilization bore fruit in 2022 by reaching the objective of -10% electricity consumption this winter (source RTE). The challenge today is to be able to sustain the process of sobriety.
“ We must transform the actions that were made this winter into regular actions and we must make this sobriety a part of morals ” – Xavier Piechaczyk, Chairman of the RTE Board of Directors
