With NEO, Sobre Energie is bringing energy management into the era of natural language
Tuesday, December 16, 2025 — Sobre Energie reaches a major milestone with the launch of NEO, its new AI assistant integrated into the DATAMARC NEO platform. For the first time, this allows users to easily query all the energy and asset data of a real estate portfolio using natural language. With NEO, Sobre Energie becomes one of the very first players in the Energy Management Systems (EMS) market to offer such interaction capabilities, paving the way for a new generation of energy management solutions.
A complete democratization of energy analysis
With NEO, occupants, owners, and managers can query their energy and asset data in natural language, without prior technical expertise. The assistant meets the needs of organizations—local authorities, mid-sized companies, multi-site businesses, or property operators—as well as those of professionals who manage energy performance on a daily basis, such as management controllers, financial managers, facility managers, or internal energy managers.
NEO thus adapts to the diversity of professions and structures, by instantly providing personalized analyses, formulated according to the language and indicators specific to each user, whether expert or non-expert.
Over the past year, Sobre Energie has trained its AI using thousands of queries from its internal Energy Managers, allowing it to structure, refine, and improve the reliability of all its understanding and analysis models. This learning phase has given rise to an augmented Energy Manager within Sobre Energie—and now, with NEO, all users of DATAMARC NEO are, in turn, becoming augmented Energy Managers.
How it works: a cutting-edge technological foundation for ultra-personalized responses
NEO is based on the modernized architecture of DATAMARC NEO, which was completely renewed in November 2024. This new architecture relies on technologies designed for scalability, security, and speed of analysis:
- Databricks, for the aggregation, structuring and massive processing of data,
- Unity Catalog, for governance, reliability, and scalability,
- A real-time inference capability that allows for near-instantaneous, but above all perfectly contextualized and ultra-personalized responses.
NEO thus interprets all the essential sources of a tertiary park: delivery points, sub-metering, ambient IoT data, asset data, as well as regulatory elements, including the tertiary decree.
A constantly evolving AI
NEO is designed to evolve continuously: its analytical, natural language processing, and contextualization capabilities will be regularly enhanced to support new user needs. As part of this evolutionary trajectory, NEO will gradually integrate with other key components of DATAMARC NEO, notably the My Eco-Performance module, already dedicated to monitoring and structuring energy efficiency actions and projects. This convergence will ultimately provide an even more integrated user experience.
