How can I reduce my energy consumption if my volume of activity increases?
The intensity of use indicators make it possible to reflect the impact of the occupancy conditions of the premises on energy consumption, according to temporal and surface criteria:
- the number of working hours of the building
- the floor/workstation surface (SUB)
- the building occupancy rate
These indicators make it possible to modulate the objectives throughout the system according to the volume of activity, in order to reflect the impact of changes in the volume of activity on energy consumption. In this context, it is therefore appropriate to provide information on OPERAT when there are developments, both upwards and downwards.
The information on intensity of use indicators can usefully be carried out each time annual energy consumption data is reported. If the taxable person notices a notable change (upward or downward) in his consumption.
The taxable person provides the intensity of use indicators and the OPERAT platform automatically modulates the objective expressed in absolute value, then that of the objective in relative value.
In the absence of information on the intensity of use indicators relating to the reference energy consumption, it will be the standard indicators of the objective(s) expressed in absolute value which will be taken into account. These standard indicators do not necessarily reflect the configuration in which the functional entity found itself for the reference year.
If the increase in activity cannot be measured with the intensities of use (eg: new machines) then these are elements which must be included in the technical modulation file, the role of which is to justify a specific modulation of the objectives.
